- Tuesday, December 12, 2023 UNIT 9: WHAT DID YOU SEE AT THE ZOO? Lesson 2: 1, 2, 3 I. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. identify the situations for the conversations between Nam and Phong (setting, participants, topics);(cognition) 2. ask and answer questions what animals did at the zoo using What did the tigers do when you were there?- they 3. show their love for animals and how to protect animals by using appropriate gestures and intonation when asking and answering about about animals in a zoo (attribute) II. LANGUAGE FOCUS. Key terms. roar: panda: gau truc, slow, loudly, quietly The sentence patterns: What did the tigers do when you were there?- they III. LEARNING EXPERIENCES 1.Warm up: - Name some adjectives to describe animals 2. OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. say the questions and answers with the correct sentence stress; 2. identify the stresses of 2 sentences about zoo animals through a recording and given cues; 3. perform the chant “at the circus” in interesting ways, using appropriate and meaningful gestures; 4. show their love for animals and how to protect animals by using appropriate gestures and intonation when asking and answering about about animals in a zoo (attribute) II. Listen and underlined the stressed words. Then say the sentences aloud - Have Ss look at part 2 (p. 62) and read the sentences. - Guess the answers. - Play the recording twice for pupils to listen and do the task. - Play the recording again for pupils check their answers. - Check and correct. 1. ‘What did you ‘see at the ‘zoo? OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - read a paragraph, and match the adverbs with the correct sentences. - write about their last visit to the zoo, using the writing frame. - present their drawings of a dream zoo. - colour the stars showing their English competences. - show their love for animals and how to protect animals by using appropriate gestures and intonation when asking and answering about about animals in a zoo (attribute) II. LANGUAGE FOCUS. Key terms: The sentence patterns: When did you go to the zoo?- I went there yesterday What did the tigers do when you were there?- They roared loudly. III.
