OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. identify the situations for the conversations between Tom and Mary (setting, participants, topics);(cognition) 2. ask and answer questions about free-time activities, using What do you do in your free time?- I often + V __________ . 3. Look, listen and repeat. - Have Sts to look at the pictures on page 13 in part 1 and ask them some questions to identify the characters in the picture: Who are they? (The Browns) What are they talking about? (They are on TV for an interview) - Tell pls that they are going to listen and repeat. (Two times) - Ask pls to work in groups to take turns to say the lines from the dialogue. - Ask pls to give the model sentences: Interviewer: What do you do in your free time? Linda: I often go fishing

OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, pls will be able to: - Pronouce correctly the sounds of the letters aw as in draw and those of the letters ar as in star. - Listen and circle the correct answers - Pupils know how to take care of their health II. PROCEDURES: * Warm up: - Pls display their homelink and give an oral report on their survey result at request. *New lesson: 4.Listen and circle. - Ask pls to look at the picture on page 16 and identify the activities in the pictures. - Ask pls to guess the orders of the pictures. - Let pls share their predictions. - Ask pls to listen to the tape and check their predictions. (2 times) - Get feedback - Ask pls to listen and repeat all the sentences in the tape. - Check pls’ pronunciation and offer them when necessary. Answer key: 1-b 2-a 3-a 4-c 5. Fun time. If you’re Happy and You Know It - Ask Ps to look at the page 16 stick the large- size sheet of paper with the song on the board. - Discuss the picture with Ps. - Point to each child and ask Ps to identify him/ her. - Play the recorrding twice for Ps to listen all the way through. - Play the recording again for w.class to sing along. - Divide the class into groups. Each group sings a line without music. - Call a group to sing the song in front of the class. Point at the pictures a, b, c and d respectively to talk about the story. Explain what each character says. Check comprehension and give feedback. • Play Track 16, pointing at each speech bubble for Ss to listen and repeat the sentence(s) twice. • Point at each bubble for Ss to read the sentence(s). Sentence pattern practice (full controlled) 2. Point and say. • Present the activity. Tell Ss the meaning of the sentences in practice. Point at the verb phrases under each picture, check comprehension and give feedback. Have Ss repeat each phrase twice. • Play Track 17 for Ss to repeat twice. • Interact with Ss to ask and answer questions about accident prevention. • Get Ss to practise in pairs asking and answering questions about accident prevention. • Invite a few pairs to check their performance.

OBJECTIVES By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. read the paragraph and do the tasks: circle the letters showing the best title; tick the sentences T (True) or F (False). 2. read the sentences and write what may happen. 3. make a poster about home accidents and how to avoid them. 4.
