OBJECTIVES: By the end of this lesson pupils will be able to: - identify specific information through listening to conversations related to the theme Me and my friends - identify specific information related to the theme Me and my friends by scaning a text about Linda’s day in the countryside. - use simple sentences to write about themselves. II. LANGUAGE FOCUS. 1. Key terms. revision 2. Key grammatical structure: revision III. INSTRUCTIONAL RESOURCES. - Textbook: Tiếng Anh 5: Student’s book page 36 - Audios (review1 -page 36), - a laptop and a TV. IV. LEARNING EXPERIENCES Warm up: Let’s chant - Whole class chant: Where will you be this weekend? 1. Listen and tick. - Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text. - Ss look at the pitures and indentify the characters in the pictures. Guess the answer. - Listen to the recording twice and tick the pictures they hear. Compare the answer with the partner before checking as a class. Key: 1b; 2c 2. Listen and number. - Ss listen to the recording again and check their answers, if necessary. - Ss look at the pitures and indentify the charaters in the pictures. Guess the answer. - Ss listen to four dailogues and number them. - Listen to the recording twice and number the pictures. Compare the answer with the partner before checking as a class. - 3- 4 Ss give the key: 3a; 4b; 1c; 2d 3. Listen and tick YES(Y) or No(N). - Ss listen to the recording again and check their answers, if necessary. - Read the sentences in silence in the book. - Ss listen to two dailogues and tick Yes or No. - Listen to the recording twice and tick Yes or No. Compare the answer with the partner before checking as a class. - 3- 4 Ss give the key. ( 1. N ; 2. Y) - Ss listen to the recording again and check their answers, if necessary.

Giving explanation if necessary. 5. Write about you. Then tell the class. - T tell ss that they are going to write sentences about themselves. - Giving them time to read questions in silence. Checking their understanding. - Giving limit time to write in individual. - Getting them to read their writing in pairs before inviting two or three pp to read their answer aloud. CAT AND MOUSE 1 1. Listen and read to the story. - Ss are going to read and listen to the story. - before listening, ss look at the pics and answer questions to remind them of the characters( What’s the name of the black- and white cat? What’s the name of the white mouse ? Can you see the brown cat and the red cat? Do you know the grey mouse? Can you remember his name? - Let ss read the story in silence. Then play the CD all the way through for them to listen and follow in their books.
